Heroes 4 - Might / Stronghold Creatures: Ogre Magi

HERO INTRODUCTION

One of only two melee intelligence heroes, on the surface the Ogre Magi appears to be a regular offensive spellcaster with limited buffing capabilities. However, the true power of this hero is revealed when his passive Multicast skill comes into play. Similar to a passive critical strike, Multicast allows the Ogre Magi's spells to hit multiple times. His Fireblast spell is a decent but unremarkable spell on its own, but a Multicasted Fireblast is capable of dealing huge damage and stunning a target for a long time. Bloodlust provides a great speed bonus to a single target, and a Multicasted Bloodlust gives that same bonus to the Ogre's entire team. Ignite is a fairly weak single target slow without Multicast, but gains a large area of effect with more levels of Multicast. Although he is not very threatening without it, the Ogre Magi becomes quite deadly once he starts throwing Multicasts around.

BACKGROUND STORY

Ogres, a race bred to be warriors, have no experience with the arcane arts, leaving Aggron, who was born with a rare affinity to magic, without guidance regarding his innate abilities. His own force of will harnesses his talent to produce elemental flames and explosions that consume his opponents. Being a natural warrior, he reaches into his own aggression to fuel his comrades' lust for battle. His savage, untapped magical potential is prone to fiery outbursts which enhance the potency of his spells. A towering force built on strength and magic, Aggron is honored by his people and feared by his enemies

Ogre Mage Health: 85 Damage: 12-18 Population: 6 Cost: 350 Gold Shots: N/A Attack: 18 RangeAtt: N/A Defence: 16 RangeDef: 16 Mana: 6 Speed: 4 Movement: 6 AdvMove: 19 Killing XP: 130 Ogre magi have the innate ability to cast the Bloodlust spell, goading others into a dangerous battle rage. Comments: A comparatively poor level 3 creature, with HP acting as the saviour on this occasion. The astoundingly cheap Ogre Mage can cast bloodlust, which is an extinct product in the Stronghold. Their high growth of 6 per week compensates for their slow nature.

ADVANCED STATS:

Damage: 58 - 64 Casting Animation: 0.56 / 0.51
Armor: 4.96 Base Attack Time: 1.7

Stronghold creatures - Ogre Magi

Ogre Magi Health: 60 Attack: 13 Shots: none Movement: ground 400 gold (4) Hex size: 1 Defence: 7 Dmg: 6-12 Spd: 5 (slow) Special: Can cast bloodlust spell on one ally per round at spell power 6, advanced level. Great upgrade, 50% tougher for 33% extra price plus the spell bonus. Ogre magi are the toughest among their level, their supperiority undermined perhaps only by vampires' life drain. Stock up on these guys because they can dellay your enemy's victory by few thousand hit points. Ogre magi are still slow, but they don't just stand there anymore - bloodlust spell will assist the advancing armies while magi defend the shooters. Bloodlust increases attack skill for the time of 6 rounds

Age of Conan prepares to pillage 2012 with basketweaving

The Funcom team is happy with its bone-crunching achievements in Age of Conan last year, but it has moved on to bigger and better conquests. In a new development update, the devs outline their roadmap for 2012 -- and it might not be what you'd expect.

According to the update, the team felt torn between adding more content to the game and going back to rework and tweak systems that needed it: "Our problem there in 2011 was that with so much content to support, the majority of the systems time was consumed by the creation of everything that is needed for the content itself." As a result, the first half of 2012 looks to be light on the content side of things -- although with new tier-four raids, it won't be non-existent.

Instead, the team will be reworking the tradeskill system this summer to make it more involving and complex than the modern "point and click" setup. Other improvements on the way include enlarging bank space, a dual-specification system, class balancing, and single-server development.

Following these projects, the team will shift back into content-creation mode, starting with a new adventure pack for later this year.

UPDATE: Blizzard Debunks Diablo III Release Date?

Update: Blizzard has debunked the rumored February 1st release date. Blizzard community manager Micah Whipple posted the following statement on Twitter

"Diablo III does not have a release date. Any store or person claiming otherwise is guessing."

In addition, Joystiq is now reporting that the sign pictured below has been taken down.

According to Best Buy, Diablo III is headed to stores at the beginning of next month. An end cap display spotted at a Rochester, Minnesota Best Buy location advertises that the store will hold a midnight launch for the game that day, and Best Buy's website lists the same date.

Joystiq has acquired the following photo of the display, and has confirmed with the store that it's legitimate:

Newest Final Fantasy XIV producer's letter talks patch 1.21 release

Game Genre: Fantasy | Patches | News items | Consoles | Final Fantasy XIV

It's been a little quiet on the Final Fantasy XIV front since the new year, but the team behind the game has been hard at work preparing the launch opatch 1.21. And it's going to be quite a massive patch, as outlined in Naoki Yoshida's most recent producer's letter for the fans. Not only does it contain the addition of the long-awaited Job system, but it also includes UI improvements, housing, two new instanced raids, a food and medicine overhaul, and a variety of smaller changes.

While the team had originally aimed for a launch in the second week of February, Yoshida notes that the patch will likely be delayed two weeks due to the sheer amount of content going in. He also discusses what he calls temporary server merges prior to the launch of 2.0 in November; as he puts it, the main concern is allowing players, especially from European regions, to have an ample playerbase to adventure with. It's a bit of unpleasant news for Final Fantasy XIV players, but it's packed in amidst many things to look forward to.

WindSlayer 2 Winter Holidays Review!!!

This is the review of WindSlayer 2 while playing 5 days straight before and after the holidays seasons.

Graphics engine and game play mechanics: WS2 is a extremely cute 2D side scroll MMORPG that use 7 classes that are Novice(the first job) , Warrior,Archer,Priest ,Monk,Rogue and Mage .The skills have nice visual effects and diversity. After visiting the entire village all have grated with falling snow!!

Combat System: In Windslayer the combat system is no slow paced and not to fast paced so it make WS and medium paced combat , and It make the PvP really interesting , I will explain this right after. The combat system might be not as fast as some other Side scroller's but it's still interesting combat with nice skill features and nice visual effects.

Character customization: In WS2 there a variety of way to customize you're character to make it more unique and appealing to you. In WS2 there a lot of armor that can grant uniqueness in your appearance and the Cash Shop always will have some feature for the character customization.

Quest: In WindSlayer you will always have some quest with you , there about 100 quests already in the Commercial launch and more to come when the fully retail will be launching making the grind easier and more appealing to the windslayer player's.

PvP System: The PvP in WindSlayer 2 requires you to be at least a level 10, that you can acquire pretty fast. The PvP is pretty well balanced still some tweaking to be done but still each class in PvP can be counter killed in many ways depending how you use your class. The PvP can handle up to 10 players’ that means 5 on each teams.

Mentoring System: The mentoring system encourage you to have a mentor both of the “mentor” and the "student" get experience bonus. This system is well placed In WS2 making you interact with other player's around you.

Cash Shop: the game does not rely on the Cash shop as I saw, so there no worry about WS behind Cash shop dependent.

Overall: WindSlayer2 is an average game , and I suggest you to try it out by yourself and you probably will get attracted , but remember the NA version is still updating and adding new game features ,Enjoy the game and have fun.

I’ve been playing Rosh Online for a month now. I can’t believe that if I did not follow my friend’s advice, I won’t be playing this great game right now. I started as a Blader in the game and now I’m already a Destroyer. The game is easy to understand. There is an in-game help information when you press H that will teach you the basic things that you need to know. There are also players that won’t hesitate to help and tell you what to do if you are lost or do not know what to do in the game. But what I like most is the GMs that are always there to answer your questions. All in all the community of Rosh
is so lively.

Currently the level cap for the game is level 55, but Ignited Games is planning to increase it on the third week of January. That’s where the real fun begins. For sure there will be new items in the game. New gears that everyone is waiting for. New cash shop items, especially new suits for everyone. And new map for the new level. Everything will seem to be new. So even though you’re just a beginner, you won’t be left behind. It’s just like everyone is starting over again. Can’t wait for this to happen. The game is just new but the pacing of its progress is incredibly fast. Just after a month, there’s already a raise in the level cap. Hey, what else could you ask for?
I’m really glad that I’m a part of this community. Yeah, the game is not that perfect, there are these disconnections and lags in the game but you can see that the support for Rosh is always there. The GMs are always checking if we got disconnected and how many times it happened, checking on the bugs in the game, talking to players and asking if there’s something wrong or any unusual things that we have encountered. These kind of things, make us feel that we are important to them and they are willing to listen to our concerns.
So right now, all I can do is to wait for the update. So guys if you are looking for a new game with a fast pace action, Rosh Online is your game.
